Having moved from being a 'pick up a piece here or there' label to 'many-pieces-are-must-haves' status has taken some reinvigoration over the years from the team at Sheike, but they have done it with aplomb and have delivered a label that will be giving many Zara pieces a run for their money this season. Being priced under $200 also helps, with the seperates having the abiilty to be morphed into work ensembles as well as weekend wear.

Aaah the Chanel Jacket. Possibly one of the most recognisable, sought-after, distinguished and expensive fashion garments of the last century. The tweed Chanel represents everything couture fashion should do. Style, sophistication, elegance - and when appropriate, an independant twist, as seen on Blake Lively on the cover of October Instyle- wearing a jacket most Shopistas would kill for, holes and all.
There is a certain fashion status that is also maintained through the wearing of a Chanel jacket. From Upper East Side society queens to the gangsta-esque of rapper chicks, when they all want to look their finest, no doubt a bit of the old Chanel Couture is brought out to work its charm. The jacket's styling has been evolved over the decades, particularly under Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld's guidance, which results in a seasonal change of tempo, but the continuation of fashion's beating drum.
While for many Shopistas the dream of owning the real deal when it comes to the Chanel tweed is but indeed a dream, luckily the sharp pencils of the designers on high street are always poised to bring us the look for a lot less!

RZ has ensured many-a-celeb is known for her fashion cudos as much as her acting cred.
Having written a successful style book, and helmed her bitchy behind-the-scenes-of-styling show The Rachel Zoe Project into its fourth season, it's only natural that RZ's next move in the fashion world would be to create the pieces themselves.

Well Shopistas, with summer just around the corner, fashion is starting to feel just that tad more fabulous! Sleuth has celebrated Spring with the purchase of a Prada, and with Rhianna getting her groove on with the luscious Christian Louboutin Miss Rope Capras bag in Portofino recently, Sleuth thought this to be the perfect opportunity to highlight some divine new designer bags, and also some golden oldies that will forever be in style, and forever leave us feeling fabulous (and more!) when we tote one on our arm.

While the price tag of designer bags can often leave Shopista feeling a little choked up, buying an investment bag can be as valuable to your wardrobe as five tops and twice as many skirts. A designer bag can add a certain air of sophistication to Shopista's look, no matter where she's going or what else she's wearing (tracksuits aside - but hey, a $12,000 Birkin is likely to add some perk to that look too!)
So before Shopista splashes out $300 on a bag she may not be particularly in love with, but feel may add a bit of 'somethin' somethin' to her wardrobe, do the Shopista maths equation, and work out if it might be better to store those pennies in the Shopista Shopping Fund for a later date, where a larger (designer) investment will also equate to more use, so therefore reducing the cost-per-wear ratio significantly. Quite simple really! (note - Sleuth will use any means or measure to talk oneself into a fab purchase!)
